Almost two decades after the band gave its last concert, the show ‘Terra de soños' offers the opportunity of enjoying Fuxan os Ventos either to people who know and also remember them well nowadays and to the new generations that, sometimes without being conscious of what this band meant for Galician traditional music, have inherited popular chants as A Carolina or Sementeira , that already are part of the musical tradition of this country [Galicia]. Fuxan os Ventos was, more than anything, a band committed to the identity of Galicia, who hardly tried to knock down the obstacles that this society had to overcome in its recent history [mostly under Franco's dictatorship]. They have been, and are, a group that knew, with their rescued from oblivion chants, how to get to all the society's classes in Galician language, something unbelievable on the first half of the 1970's.

With ‘Terra de soños' show, Fuxan os Ventos make a comeback and at the same time they release their new álbum, also called ‘Terra de Soños', which includes their concert in Santiago de Compostela (October 2008) on digipack format (CD, DVD and libretto).

After 9 records and more than thirty years of adventures as a band, Fuxan os Ventos has already gone through borders and generations. Nonetheless, the recognition and valuation of their contribution to Galician contemporary culture, from a renewed and updated point of view, is nowadays more than a must.
